Case Study
Mondi Dynäs
A 320-meter Pipe Bridge Under Demanding Conditions
Mondi Dynäs needed a 320-meter-long pipe bridge – a comprehensive and technically demanding project. WP Welding was entrusted to deliver a complete solution, from prefabrication to final installation.
Between autumn 2024 and spring 2025, we carried out extensive work at Mondi’s site in Kramfors. A big part of the project was prepared in our workshops, where we built finished modules complete with electrical tracing and insulation. This enabled an efficient on-site installation, which was crucial since the assembly took place high up in a very tight and hard-to-reach area.
For the client, it was essential that as much as possible could be prefabricated – both to save time and to avoid disruptions in the active industrial environment.
Our assignment included
Welding of steel bridges
Prefabrication of pipes with electrical tracing and insulation
Transport and assembly of all units on-site
During the project’s most intensive phases, up to 120 WP Welding personnel worked simultaneously – a clear demonstration of our capacity to handle large industrial projects with high pace and demanding requirements.
Thanks to careful planning, close collaboration with the client, and high technical quality, the project was completed as scheduled – with excellent results.
